The school will instruct the student in the curriculum listed below in accordance with the state law where applicable.
A non-refundable registration fee ensures a spot in the class. The full amount of tuition must be paid prior to the start of class. If for any reason an applicant is not accepted by the school, the applicant is entitled to a return of all monies paid, minus the non-refundable registration fee.
CANCELLATION POLICY
A student may cancel this Enrollment Agreement by providing written notice within three (3) business days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and federal and state holidays) of electronically accepting this agreement. If cancellation is made within this period, HI-TEC will refund all tuition and fees paid, less the non-refundable registration fee of $350.00, within thirty (30) days of receiving written notice of cancellation. Written notice must be submitted by email to the address listed in this agreement. Hard copy notice is accepted but is not effective unless and until HI-TEC provides written confirmation of receipt.
WITHDRAWAL AFTER THE THREE-DAY PERIOD
After the three-day cancellation period has expired the non-refundable registration fee remains non-refundable. If the student withdraws after instruction has begun, at HI-TEC’s discretion, refunds may be calculated based on the following:
Tuition may be calculated on a pro rata basis based on the number of instructional days attended or materials accessed, divided by the total number of instructional days in the course. The student will be responsible for the registration fee plus tuition earned through the date of withdrawal. For online passive courses with no live instruction, attendance and instructional time begin when the student first logs into the course platform.
MATERIALS
In case of cancelation, student shall be entitled to retain ownership of physical materials and the e-textbooks, received from HI-TEC. However, all access to online curriculum will be terminated.
CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION
No certificate of completion will be issued until all tuition and fees are paid in full.
THE STUDENT UNDERSTANDS:
- Students are welcome to make up class sessions, limited to classes already scheduled or in session.
- HI-TEC does not accept or grant any college credits.
- HI-TEC does not guarantee job placement to graduates after program/course completion.
- HI-TEC reserves the right to reschedule the program start date when enrollment of students is too small. HI-TEC may reschedule an evening class at times.
- HI-TEC will not be responsible for any statement of policy or procedure that does not appear in the school catalog.
- HI-TEC reserves the right to discontinue student’s training for unsatisfactory progress in the course, failure to abide by school code of conduct, or nonpayment of tuition. While enrolled in HI-TEC I understand that I must maintain satisfactory academic progress as described in the school catalog and that my financial obligation to the school must be paid in full before a certificate may be awarded. Students must attend at least ninety percent (90%) of scheduled instructional hours. For live-virtual classes, attendance requires active on-screen presence as directed by the instructor. Discontinuation of training for any reason does not relieve the student of financial obligations incurred under this agreement.
- This Enrollment Agreement becomes binding upon the student’s electronic acceptance, including checking the agreement box and submitting the enrollment form, which shall constitute a written electronic signature under applicable federal and state law.
- It is the responsibility of the student to come to class prepared with the appropriate technology. For online classes this includes internet access sufficient for video streaming.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Student hereby agrees to behave in a general, respectful attitude toward the instructor and fellow students and to refrain from disruptive behaviors during class time. Misconduct will be handled privately via a phone call with the school administration.
