Have you ever considered inspecting log homes? Now, you can! In this first of four modules, we'll learn about log home design, wood's characteristics and chemical makeup. Then we will learn it's vulnerabilities, and how builders overcome them.
Module Three is where we turn our attention to constructing sturdy, beautiful walls, the hallmark of any log home. We’ll also address the top of the structure: the roof and the types of fasteners used in securing various structural components.
Module Four is dedicated to deficiencies and maintenance not otherwise covered in the first three modules. We have dozens of photos of deficiencies to look at to give you powerful insights into recognizing them on your own inspections.
